As the Tool & Equipment Manager, you’ll play a critical role in supporting field operations by ensuring the right tools and equipment are available, in top condition, and properly tracked across our projects. This role requires strong organizational skills, a service-oriented mindset, and a working knowledge of inventory and procurement systems. You’ll work closely with the Warehouse/Purchasing Team and Field Teams to support daily operations and long-term project needs.
What You Bring:
• Preferred: Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or logistics roles
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with SAP/ERP systems and inventory modules
• Familiarity with mechanical, HVAC, or construction environments is highly desired
• Proven working knowledge of procurement and Inventory principles
• Continuously and proactively aids in implementing ways to save delivery time and money
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities
• Self-motivated and able to create and maintain process documentation

Key Responsibilities:
Tool & Equipment Management
• Check tools and equipment in and out for Yearout Mechanical employees, ensuring safe and proper condition
• Maintain the tool inventory list, including tracking of outside equipment rentals
• Manage all tool accountability, both physically and electronically, using Sage and Hilti systems
• Ensure tools are cleaned, maintained, and stored in a safe and secure manner
• Follow all procedures related to defective tools and ensure resolution
Warehouse & Delivery Support
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized tool crib and work environment
• Assist with tool and equipment deliveries and pickups across job sites
• Inventory tools returned from jobs and properly credit the responsible employee
• Enter weekly equipment timesheets and support related documentation requirements
Inventory & Systems
• Accurately manage inventory levels and transactions in ERP systems (Sage, Hilti)
• Follow Yearout’s procurement processes for ordering and tracking tools and related materials
• Support process improvement efforts to reduce delivery times and optimize inventory efficiency
• Follow all Yearout procurement process and procedures.
