P2S is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team and support exciting medium-voltage infrastructure projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with over 10 years of experience in the field.
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in:
Designing medium-voltage (2.4kV–35kV) infrastructure, including specifying switchgear, transformers, and related equipment
Developing underground distribution systems and shore power systems, along with performing associated calculations
Specifying and coordinating protective relaying and SCADA systems for medium-voltage networks
In this role, you’ll be responsible for field verification, design coordination, preparing construction documents, securing permits, and overseeing construction administration. Your work will span both medium- and low-voltage power systems.

Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related Engineering Field
• Registered Professional Engineer license (preferred)
• 10 years of experience in the design of power systems
• Experience developing Power System Studies (ETAP/SKM)
• Experience with AutoCAD, National Electrical Code and Revit MEP
• Project Management experience is a plus
• Prior experience working on port projects. Must be able to access and perform site visits on federal sites.
Working Knowledge
• Engineering design and project management experience
• Strong electrical design capability in commercial settings
• Proficient in written communication and oral presentations
• Ability to work well under pressure, juggle, and prioritize multiple projects
• Detail-oriented, creative, self-motivated, and enthusiastic
• Experience in maintaining strong client relationships
• Computer literacy, including all core applications
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 (MS Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Duties:
Pre-Design Engineering:
-Perform field surveys for the design of electrical systems, gather information, and prepare site assessment reports
-Prepare electrical schematic designs
Project Management
-Demonstrate ability to manage multiple large-size projects involving other senior engineers and sub-consultants
-Provide mentorship to design engineers
-Prepare proposals independently for clients
-Demonstrate active development of business with new and existing clients
Construction Administration
-Review and respond to RFI’s
-Review equipment submittals
-Perform punch walks and prepare punch list report
