1. You’ve worn many hats at Bel-Aire over the last 21 years, from Project Administrator Coordinator to now being an Executive Administrator and Corporate Secretary. What has been the most rewarding part of growing with the company?
The most rewarding part of growing with Bel-Aire is not a single achievement, but the accumulation of experiences, relationships, and contributions that shape both myself and the organization. It is the sense of belonging, the satisfaction of personal development, the pride in shared success, and the joy of making a meaningful difference. Through challenges and triumphs, and personal growth I’ve been offered a deeply fulfilling journey—one that enriches lives and builds legacies. It’s a special thing to see how the projects we complete shape the landscape of Arizona.
2. Being active in organizations like National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association, Arizona Chapter (SMACNA, AZ)—how has your involvement shaped your professional growth?
Actively participating in industry organizations such as NAWIC and SMACNA, AZ, has become a cornerstone of my professional evolution. These associations have served not merely as networking hubs, but as vibrant communities where learning, mentorship, leadership, and advocacy converge to create lasting impact. My journey within these organizations has not only broadened my technical expertise and industry knowledge, but also profoundly shaped my confidence, leadership abilities, and vision for the future. I am honored to be the current NAWIC Greater Phoenix Chapters President and through chapter meetings, conferences, and workshops, I have listened to stories of perseverance, innovation, and achievement that continually challenge and inspire me.
For anyone considering becoming more involved in professional associations, my advice is simple: embrace the opportunity wholeheartedly. Say yes to that committee, volunteer for that event, seek out mentorship, and don’t be afraid to lead. It has taught me that the true measure of success lies not just in individual accomplishments, but in the collective progress we make together. The journey continues, and I look forward to the new ways in which these communities will shape my career and inspire others in the years to come.
3. You recently attended the Groundbreaking Women in Construction (GWIC) conference, which brings together a powerful network of women in the construction industry. What was it like to be surrounded by that energy and leadership?
The atmosphere at GWIC was electric. Each conversation, panel, and presentation echoed with the enthusiasm of women who are passionate not only about construction but also about shaping its future. It was empowering to witness attendees—ranging from trailblazing veterans to bright-eyed newcomers—united in their commitment to innovation, collaboration, and progress.
4. Since expanding your role into marketing and branding, what insights have you gained from taking creative risks in a traditionally technical industry?
I’ve discovered the power of challenging these conventions. Introducing vibrant color schemes, dynamic imagery, and aspirational messaging can signal growth, adaptability, and a forward-thinking mindset. Creative risk in marketing often manifests itself through storytelling—a tool sometimes underutilized in technical industries. By elevating customer success stories, spotlighting behind-the-scenes innovation, or illustrating the company’s history and vision, I’ve witnessed firsthand the ability of narratives to foster emotional connections. Expanding a role into marketing and branding in a traditionally technical industry is both a challenge and an opportunity. It requires courage, adaptability, and the ability to balance creative ambition with technical integrity.
5. You’re a proud boy mom — what’s a small, everyday moment with your kids that means the most to you?
Oh, yes–my sweet boys, Matteo and Michael! They are my world! Each night before bedtime they will climb into bed with my husband and I to watch TV. This ritual of watching TV before bed started when they were very young and has become a daily gift we give each other: a pause from the rush, a return to what matters most, our family. I embrace this small moment with my boys—knowing that one day they will be grown and out of our home.
