Since our incorporation in August of 1964, Yearout Mechanical has consistently grown and expanded its capabilities, reaching its present position as the premier mechanical contractor in New Mexico. From the Field to the Front Line of the Business

Ready to take your field experience to the next level?

This role is built for hands-on leaders — Foremen, Superintendents, and Project Managers — who understand how projects get built and are ready to expand their impact into project leadership, client relationships, and business development.

You’ll still stay close to work but now you’ll help shape it from the start, influence decisions earlier, and play a key role in growing the business.

Why This Role is Different

  • Transition from executing projects → leading and shaping them
  • Leverage your field expertise into estimating, planning, and client strategy
  • Build relationships that drive repeat business and long-term partnerships
  • Gain exposure to the business side of construction—without losing touch with the field
  • Be a key voice in how projects are won, not just how they’re built

What You’ll Do

  • Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring quality, safety, and profitability
  • Develop estimates, budgets, and proposals grounded in real-world field knowledge
  • Partner with clients, GCs, and design teams to win work and deliver solutions
  • Identify opportunities, follow up on leads, and help maintain a strong project pipeline
  • Collaborate with field teams and fabrication shops to ensure constructible, efficient plans
  • Drive value engineering and practical solutions that improve cost and performance
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources across multiple jobs
  • Lead meetings, job walks, and ongoing communication with stakeholders
  • Oversee change orders, procurement, and contract coordination
  • Support projects through closeout and warranty, ensuring long-term client satisfaction

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of field or project experience in HVAC, plumbing, or process systems
  • Background as a Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Manager strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of how mechanical systems are installed and coordinated
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Interest in growing into client-facing and business development responsibilities
  • Strong communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships
  • Working knowledge of UPC and UMC codes

What You’ll Gain

  • A clear path from field leadership → business leadership
  • Mentorship and support in developing estimating and client management skills
  • Broader influence across projects, from pursuit to execution
  • Opportunity to help grow accounts and win new work
  • A role that values your practical experience as much as technical knowledge

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Hybrid role: office, job sites, and client interaction
  • Frequent walking, standing, climbing, and occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs)
  • Computer-based work for estimating, communication, and project tracking

Additional Information

  • No sponsorship available for this position
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities
