P2S has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technology Designer - Healthcare based out of our Long Beach office.

Salary: $148,000 - $180,000

General Responsibilities

The Senior Technology Designer will support project planning, develop complete low‑voltage/technology design solutions, and lead QA/QC efforts through construction and installation. This role covers IT/telecom infrastructure, structured cabling, wireless networks, and low‑voltage systems including paging, emergency phones, clocks, and security-related systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and oversight of low‑voltage and technology systems in accordance with codes, ANSI standards, and industry best practices
  • Technical requirements analysis, site assessments, solution recommendations, and construction administration
  • Development of scopes of work, pricing estimates, and design documentation
  • Ongoing project support from bid phase through construction and system installation
  • QA/QC oversight and coordination with contractors and implementation teams
  • Leadership of technology projects and growth of P2S technology services in the healthcare market, including team development and business expansion

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in telecommunications and low‑voltage system design and project management
  • Proven experience supporting design and construction for building and healthcare facilities
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, drawings, and CSI-format specifications
  • Experience with low‑voltage design calculations (conduit sizing, pulling tension)
  • Working knowledge of AV and security systems
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
  • Experience with regulatory codes and standards for healthcare, education, commercial, and federal facilities

Requirements

  • 10+ years designing ICT systems within an electrical, building technology, or consulting engineering environment
  • Experience leading ICT design for healthcare, higher education, and scientific facilities
  • Knowledge of structured cabling, voice/data, emergency communications, AV, data centers, and clinical communication systems
  • Understanding of ICT system budgets, capabilities, and infrastructure options

Education & Certifications

  • Professional certifications such as RCDD, CTS‑D, PSP, or CNIDP preferred
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent practical experience in technology infrastructure design and installation
