Job Summary: The Senior Project Engineer supports the Project Manager and Site Superintendent in coordinating project delivery, documentation, cost control, scheduling, quality, safety, and closeout activities. The role is expected to develop increasing independence, anticipate project needs, and build the technical and leadership capabilities required to advance into a Project Manager or Site Superintendent position. Working collaboratively with clients, contractors, partners, and internal teams, the Senior Project Engineer helps deliver value-added projects safely, on time, and within budget while building lasting customer relationships. This position will assist Project Managers and Superintendents on multiple projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting and Collaboration: This position works under the direction of the assigned Project Manager and Site Superintendent and collaborates regularly with project teams, clients, contractors, consultants, and internal departments.
Problem Solving:
Problems generally involve the selection of choices from standard procedures, organizing work, and checking results. Answers are usually found from selection of documented choices determined by policies and/or procedures.
Supervision Required:
Performs tasks and duties under direct and near-constant supervision; work is frequently reviewed by supervisor.
Decision-Making Impact:
Some independent judgment is necessary to select and implement the most appropriate solution, with frequent discussion/contact with a supervisor. May occasionally make recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
Decision-making impacts department.
Work Complexity:
Tasks are various and focus more on single processes. Work is sometimes standardized and sometimes varied.
Time Management:
This position is expected to work in the office, when not out on site. If work from home is needed, it must be approved by manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will not supervise.

Physical Requirements:
Position requires regular sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, and vison. Occasional climbing/balancing, reaching with arms, crouching/crawling, feeling/touching, and lifting/carrying objects weighing over 20lbs may be required.
