A.O. Reed is looking for a Project Manager with at least 5 years of experience managing plumbing / HVAC construction projects. We are located in San Diego, and 95% of our work is within San Diego County, and the balance is in the surrounding counties.

Qualifications

· Need to research and write RFI's, and 95% of our work is within San Diego County.

· Price and execute change orders

· Conduct yourself in a professional manner.

· Represent our company in a positive light

· Recommended Degree in Construction Engineering Management, Construction Management, Business, or Mechanical Engineering; OR related plumbing or mechanical system experience.

· Computer skills including Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and BIM 360 Glue.

· Strong sense of problem-solving capabilities to support the company. Utilizing company resources to maximize performance and efficiency.

· Strong Vendor/Subcontractor management skills.

· Ability to project manpower, and cashflow.

· Ability to manage and communicate with a team to lead to a project’s success. Operate independently and facilitate goals with the team to ensure budgets and schedules are met.

· Ability to meet our clients’ needs and continue relationship opportunities.

· Strong communication skills, ability to maneuver in fast-paced, large commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities

· Management in all aspects of plumbing and HVAC construction. Coordinates with staff from all departments, as needed, for each project.

· Collaboration and support field supervisors.

· Attend project meetings.

· Responsible for keeping project logs updated and current.

· Price and execute change orders.

· Handles all aspects of RFIs (Request for Information).

· Coordinates in the submittal process.

· Coordinates in the procurement process.

· Works with the BIM department in a support role. Attend BIM coordination meetings as necessary.

· Downloads project files and distributes them to team members.

· Manages responses from the design team and distributes them to team members.

· Assists in developing man-loading charts in conjunction with supervisors and superintendents.

· Ensures the timeliness of submissions to the contractor.

· Analyzes and reports the project’s projection process.

· Understand the financial aspects of the job. Project forecast, prepare budgets, and maintain cost control.

A.O. Reed & Co. is looking for a candidate to fill our Project Manager position. A.O. Reed is a mechanical contractor based in San Diego, California. Headquartered in San Diego, we have been in business since 1914 and participate in commercial construction within Southern California. We build and service a range of projects, from high-rise buildings to laboratories. A.O. Reed is looking for a candidate who will assist our operations and become a new addition to the A.O. Reed community. All candidates must have at least five years of experience managing HVAC / Plumbing construction projects. A.O. Reed provides health insurance for the employee, and their family, at no additional cost for the employee.
