CMTA, formerly known as AMA Group, is hiring to build our Technology Solutions Team in New York. We are looking for entry-level Project Engineers who are passionate about hands on learning, especially in ICT, SEC, or AV design. As a Project Engineer within our company, you will receive guidance and mentorship from senior engineers to help you develop your project management skills. This hands-on role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a growing, industry-leading team. Successful candidates will be self-motivated and proactive.

 

This position focuses on career development, allowing you to take on increasingly complex work assignments and contribute to team objectives and outcomes. Your responsibilities will include designing various IT, AV, and SEC systems across multiple vertical markets using the latest AutoCAD and BIM platforms. Specific tasks will involve gathering requirements, creating designs, and ensuring that those designs are implemented as intended.

 

Role Responsibilities:

As a Project Engineer, you will be involved with assisting with projects. In your role, you will:

  • Design and coordinate with architectural and engineering disciplines of, but not limited to computer rooms, MDF/IDF distribution, horizontal cable plant design, multi-floor riser planning and design
  • Prepare Information Technology Infrastructure documentation and RFP packages
  • Work with the team to develop drawings, specifications, and system schematics inclusive of low voltage racks/cabinets, equipment elevations, cable termination details, cable routing, and distribution pathways, UPS equipment and mechanical systems coordination, and technology room layouts using AutoCAD and Revit

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; EIT preferred

 

Experience:

  • Applied knowledge of AutoCAD required; Revit preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Relevant internship experience a plus
