Position Duration & Employment Status

This internship is expected to last approximately three to six months and is classified as a temporary position. While there may be an opportunity for conversion to a regular, full-time role, any such decision will be based on individual performance, business conditions, and organizational needs. There is no guarantee of continued employment beyond the initial assignment.

 

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern, Summer 2026 to support our purchasing and operations teams. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in supply chain, construction operations, or procurement.

In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the full procurement lifecycle, from purchase order creation to receiving, logging, and tracking materials. You’ll play a key role in ensuring materials are accurately recorded, properly documented, and efficiently coordinated to support project and field teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating and processing purchase orders in company systems
  • Receive, log, and track incoming materials to ensure accuracy and proper documentation
  • Verify delivered materials against purchase orders and packing slips; flag discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, deliveries, and supplier information
  • Enter, update, and audit procurement data across internal systems
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams on order status, deliveries, and issue resolution
  • Support project teams and field staff by helping ensure timely material availability
  • Assist with reporting and tracking procurement and inventory metrics
  • Help organize physical and digital records related to purchasing and receiving
  • Contribute to process improvements to streamline procurement and receiving workflows

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program (Business, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or related field preferred)
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) or Google Workspace
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage both data and physical materials accurately
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in both office and warehouse/project environments
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Preferred:

  • Interest in procurement, supply chain, construction, or operations
  • Experience with inventory tracking, material handling, or logistics (through school, work, or internships)
  • Comfort working with both digital systems and hands-on tasks
