CMTA is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Energy Solutions team in Media, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer interested in building performance, energy efficiency, HVAC systems, and sustainable infrastructure.

In this role, you'll support all phases of energy performance contracting projects, from initial assessments and engineering analysis through construction, commissioning, and measurement & verification. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and industry leaders while gaining exposure to real-world projects that make a measurable impact on energy use and facility performance.

Candidates with backgrounds in HVAC design, commissioning, mechanical systems, or consulting engineering are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do
  • Assist with developing and presenting project opportunities to prospective clients
  • Support client meetings, proposal development, and industry networking activities
  • Participate in site visits, facility audits, energy assessments, and engineering evaluations
  • Perform energy calculations and technical analysis to identify savings opportunities
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and design documents
  • Support bidding and procurement efforts to ensure quality and competitive outcomes
  • Assist with contract administration activities throughout project execution
  • Collaborate with project teams and construction managers during implementation
  • Participate in commissioning activities to verify system performance
  • Support clients during project closeout and warranty periods
  • Assist in developing Measurement & Verification (M&V) reports and documenting project results
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel locally for project site visits as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with an energy services company, consulting engineering firm, or commissioning provider
  • Exposure to HVAC systems and mechanical building systems
  • Knowledge of energy conservation measures and building performance concepts
  • Familiarity with engineering design principles and construction processes
  • Internship or co-op experience in engineering, construction, energy, or consulting environments
