Position Details

Employment Type: Full-time

Hybrid Schedule: 3 days In-office / 2 Remote

Salary Range: $104,000 - $156,000 (dependent on experience)

Level: Mid 

Office: Seattle, WA, Long Beach, CA, Sacramento, CA

 

General Responsibilities

As a competent Registered Professional Engineer, you will:

  • Apply all conventional aspects of HVAC and plumbing design engineering.
  • Supervise multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and designers.
  • Focus on higher education, ports, and energy projects.
  • Administer all phases of projects from proposal development through construction completion.
  • Take primary responsibility for budgeting, scheduling, planning, design, and specification writing.
  • Direct, control, and monitor all activities on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Develop new solutions to unusual problems and perform complex engineering, economic calculations, and modeling.
  • Prepare construction estimates and develop specifications involving multiple disciplines.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and manage client relationships and project budgets.
  • Review submittals, produce meeting reports, and run construction meetings.
  • Attend professional meetings and contribute to internal training sessions.

 

Position Requirements

  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE License) preferred
  • 5-10 years of engineering design and project management experience
  • Experience with all aspects of HVAC and Plumbing Design
  • Experience with design-build projects
  • Experience performing energy studies, audits, and analysis
  • Working knowledge of the Clean Buildings Law, HB1390, and Climate Action Plan
  • Experience and knowledge of state and local codes
  • Comfortable presenting complex engineering concepts to clients, industry partners, and staff
  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering
  • LEED Accreditation is a plus
