HVAC Estimator/Project Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial/Industrial HVAC Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for estimating, bidding, and managing commercial and industrial HVAC projects from pre-construction through project completion.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and demonstrated experience managing repairs, retrofits, equipment replacements, and new installations. This position is focused exclusively on commercial and industrial HVAC projects; residential experience is not applicable.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Review plans, specifications, drawings, scopes of work, and other project documentation.
  • Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and industrial HVAC projects.
  • Perform equipment, material, and labor takeoffs.
  • Solicit, analyze, and negotiate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
  • Prepare and submit proposals, bids, and project budgets.
  • Manage awarded projects from handoff through closeout.
  • Coordinate project schedules, equipment procurement, subcontractors, and field resources.
  • Monitor project costs, schedules, change orders, and overall project performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, field personnel, and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate project, estimating, and pricing records.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial HVAC estimating, project management, or a combination of both.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment replacements, retrofits, repairs, and new construction installations.
  • HVAC field experience, trade school training, or technical certification preferred.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with estimating software, Microsoft Office, and project management tools preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
