IMD, a Legence company, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to support our Human Resources function. This role is responsible for providing day-to-day HR administrative and operational support across the employee lifecycle, ensuring accurate records, compliance, and a positive employee experience. The HR Coordinator partners closely with employees, hiring managers, and HR leadership to support onboarding, employee changes, compliance activities, and HR initiatives.
 
This position requires close coordination with internal employees, hiring managers, benefits providers, and external vendors to ensure efficient and compliant HR operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee & Stakeholder Support
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee HR inquiries, routing and escalating complex issues to the HR Manager as appropriate.
  • Support a positive onboarding experience by coordinating pre-employment activities, orientation sessions, and benefits enrollment.
  • Partner with hiring managers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and smooth employee transitions.
HR Operations & Administration
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Process employee lifecycle changes including hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Manage I-9 and E-Verify processes, including initial processing, audits, and re-verifications.
  • Facilitate background checks and security clearances for employees requiring access to secure project sites.
Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws and internal HR policies.
  • Prepare HR-related reports, documentation, and presentations for leadership as needed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
HR Projects & Continuous Improvement
  • Support HR initiatives such as employee engagement programs, performance management processes, and policy updates.
  • Assist with the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
Desired Skills and ExperienceEducation & Credentials
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR Coordinator or similar HR support role preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-function organization.
Technical & Professional Skills
  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and HR best practices.
  • High level of organization, discretion, and problem-solving ability.
Additional Notes
  • This role is 100% in-office and located in Windsor, CO.
  • Hourly pay range: $22–$25 per hour.
  • Legence is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed to support HR operations and team objectives.
