As a core member of the Finance, the Financial Analyst will partner closely with other Finance professionals and business leaders across the Company, and interact with Legence’s investors, sell-side analysts and lender group.

The Financial Analyst serves as a key link between the Company and the investment community and play a critical role in the financial planning & analysis cycles. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing investor materials, and supporting communication strategies that ensure transparency and alignment with corporate goals. The analyst will collaborate with the finance, legal, and executive teams to provide precise and prompt information to both internal and external stakeholders.

Position is based in Houston, Texas.

Key Responsibilities

Investor Materials and Meetings

  • Draft and update investor presentations, press releases, earnings call scripts, and Q&A documents.
  • Assist in preparing SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) and related disclosures.
  • Create fact sheets, FAQs, and other collateral for investor meetings.
  • Attendance at investor meetings and presentations

Market & Peer Research

  • Conduct benchmarking and peer analysis on valuation, financial metrics, and market positioning.
  • Monitor analyst reports and summarize key insights for senior leadership.
  • Track industry trends and macroeconomic factors impacting the company.
  • Prepare competitive intelligence reports to support decision making
  • Conduct shareholder analytics to monitor ownership trends, identify key investors, and inform engagement strategies.

Investor, Sell-Side and Lender Engagement Support

  • Coordinate logistics for investor conferences, roadshows, and earnings calls.
  • Respond to investor and sell-side inquiries with accurate and timely information.
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly information needs for Lenders.

Financial Analysis & Forecasting

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor variances between actual results and forecasts, providing explanations and recommendations.
  • Identify trends and provide insights to improve financial performance.
  • Maintain financial models to support scenario planning and decision-making.

Board of Directors and Internal Engagement Support

  • Work closely with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Communications teams to ensure consistency in messaging.
  • Assist in the preparation of material for Monthly/Quarterly Reviews and Quarterly Board of Directors’ meetings.
  • Support ad hoc projects related to capital markets, shareholder analysis, and strategic initiatives.

  • TECHNICAL: Strong understanding of accounting and finance. Ability to articulate complex data to multiple audiences with varying levels of financial acumen.
  • AGILE: Ability to multi-task.  Capable of shifting from self-reliance and personal accountability, to cross-group collaboration. Adaptable and willing to adjust style to audience, learn and grow with the company.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting or related field (Investment Banking / Equity Research, Private Equity, Corporate FP&A or IR.)
  • BS in Finance and/or Accounting or related field
  • Manufacturing, construction engineering or related experience a plus
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office suite (excel, PowerPoint). Experience with investor relations tools (CapIQ, IR Insight, etc.), OneStream and PowerBI considered a plus
