Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a mid-level Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in Power and Energy Systems to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful building and infrastructure projects, including education and port facilities.

 

Location: Hybrid (3 days in-office / 2 remote)
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $90,000-120,000 (dependent on experience)
Level: Mid-Level

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the design of electrical systems, including medium and low voltage power distribution
  • Perform field verification, site assessments, and system evaluations
  • Prepare construction documents, permit packages, and technical specifications
  • Coordinate designs with architects, engineers, and clients
  • Manage construction administration tasks, including RFIs, submittals, and site visits
  • Conduct power system analysis, includes arc flash and short circuit coordination
  • Work independently on infrastructure design projects with minimal supervision
 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on Power and Energy Systems or related field
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate preferred
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of experience in electrical power systems design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit
  • Experience with infrastructure or port projects is a plus
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Experience with medium voltage projects is a plus
  • Experience with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
