The BIM Intern will support our BIM Studio, a specialized team that enables project delivery through BIM/CAD standards, project setup, model management, content development, coordination support, and continuous improvement (including automation and R&D). This is a great opportunity for students who want hands-on experience with real projects, modern BIM workflows, and a collaborative technical team.

Hourly: $24.00 Undergraduate / $26.00 Graduate

Location: Long Beach, CA
The BIM Intern will support our BIM Studio, a specialized team that enables project delivery through BIM/CAD standards, project setup, model management, content development, coordination support, and continuous improvement (including automation and R&D). This is a great opportunity for students who want hands-on experience with real projects, modern BIM workflows, and a collaborative technical team.
Responsibilities:
· Assist with Revit/AutoCAD support for active project teams (model organization, updates, and coordination support).
· Help with model management & maintenance, including quality checks and model health best practices.
· Support development/updates of templates, standards, and documentation used across project teams.
· Assist with content development (e.g., Revit families / custom content) and basic workflow improvements.
· Participate in learning opportunities tied to coordination/clash detection, design quality support, and innovation initiatives (including automation exposure).
Qualifications:
Required / Preferred:
· Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
· Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit (coursework, labs, or project experience).
· Strong attention to detail, organization, and willingness to learn.
Nice to Have:
· Exposure to Navisworks, Bluebeam, Dynamo, or scripting/automation concepts.
