We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Analyst to join our team. In this role, your primary responsibility will be utility bill analysis and the calculation of solar offset rates. You will be responsible for communicating analysis findings to the Client Operations team, answering questions about modeling assumptions, and learning our database to make savings predictions for sites that lack data.

Schedule: 9am - 5pm, M-F
Location: Boulder, CO
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000, 10% Bonus
Level: Entry

As part of the Analysis Team, your responsibilities will also include designing and building tools that support both internal and external stakeholders. Bringing a drive and curiosity for learning the industry with a mindset for creating novel and innovative solutions to real world hurdles will be critical. 

General Responsibilities

  • Calculate solar and storage offset rates using customer utility bills and interval data using Energy Toolbase. This requires learning the nuances of net metering, unique utility incentive programs, retail supply agreements, and storage modeling.
  • Join client calls to explain analysis and answer modeling questions.
  • Provide design recommendations through evaluation of project size and rate tariff configuration options, storage options, and utility programs to optimize project value for our clients.
  • Managing and adapting proprietary tools to support project execution.

Required

  • 0-1 Years experience in the solar energy industry
  • Bachelors degree
  • Proficient in Excel

Preferred Skills / Experience

  • Familiarity/Interest with Python
  • Familiarity/Interest with ArcGIS
  • Experience Using Energy Toolbase
  • Familiarity with Utility Bills, Bypassable Charges, and Non Bypassable Charges
  • Environmental related background a strong plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong drive to learn and ask questions
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts
  • Strong ability to problem solve through complex issues
