In recent months, we've noticed several emerging trends in candidate preferences during job applications. Candidates are increasingly prioritizing work-life balance, flexible working arrangements, and remote work options. There is a strong preference for companies that demonstrate a commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. Additionally, candidates are looking for clear paths for career growth and professional development. They seek transparency in the company's values, mission, and impact on the environment and society.



2. How significant is Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) to potential hires? What DEI-related questions do candidates typically ask during interviews?

Candidates today are interested in joining a company that is more than just an employer but is truly a community. Currently, Legence is focusing on hiring for roles in sustainable design, energy efficiency consulting, and project management. Our success rates in filling these positions have been strong, thanks to our robust recruitment strategies and our reputation as a leader in the sustainability sector. We've been able to attract top talent by leveraging our commitment to cutting-edge projects and our emphasis on professional growth and development.

I have a very exciting and busy summer ahead! We are gearing up for the next college recruiting season. We will be making multiple site visits to further work alongside our portfolio companies in developing their recruitment strategies and working on their long-term talent goals. In between all of that, I’ll be spending time with my son who is on break from college.
