Job Summary:
This position will provide mechanical services that meet and exceed a client’s expectations. They will provide expert advice, make key decisions, and develop highly complex elements regarding mechanical design and project development. This position will guide and direct a team of engineers to ensure a project is completed on-time and on-budget. This position is responsible to grow and develop the mechanical department and continue to build successful client relations.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Project Management:
      Positively motivate and review work performed by team of mechanical engineers. Professionally work with clients to identify goals. Correctly complete billing and budgeting for a project. Coordinate services between mechanical engineer team, clients, and other contractors. Provide descriptive solutions to mechanical design difficulties. Manage a team of engineers and designers; conduct periodic reviews and foster a collaborative atmosphere. Facilitate weekly team meetings and effectively delegate workload to team members. Business Development: Frequent professional interaction with clients to discover and implement expectations. Maintain positive relationships with clients. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Licenses/Certifications required):

      Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering. P.E. Licensed Mechanical Engineer. 10+ years of working industry experience. Proven ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and organization. Established industry and market expert. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to work independently and be a strong decision maker. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products. Proven ability to maintain excellent integrity and ethical standards within role. Ability to work outside normal business hours as project schedules and deadlines require.

Problems are complex, varied, and only vaguely related to what has been seen before. Determining and identifying the solution requires major individual effort and/or consultation with those within department or organization. A high degree of analytical thinking is needed to solve complex problems. Must be able to develop new, non-standard, and creative approaches to problem solving. 

Decision-Making Impact:
Independent judgment is required to study previously established, often partially relevant guidelines; plans various connected activities, and coordinates these activities within a team. Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or team within general scope of established company goals and plans.  Decision-making impacts the department, outside departments, our organization, and areas outside of the organization.

Work Complexity:
Tasks and responsibilities required integration of diverse functional areas and may involve many different variables. Work is substantially complex and varied, and requires the interpretation of technical and detailed guidelines, policies, and procedures in combination. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will supervise a team of engineers.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires regular sitting, talking, hearing, and vision. Frequent standing, walking, reaching with arms, and feeling/touching is required. Occasionally, this position will require climbing/balancing, crouching/crawling, and lifting/carrying objects weighing over 20lbs.
