Essential Job Responsibilities:
Ownership and oversight of corporate accounting and reporting.
Coordinate, manage and support monthly corporate close activities for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness. This includes ensuring preparation, review, and compliance of financial statements with GAAP and other applicable requirements, including management reporting requirements.
Partners with the entire corporate accounting team, finance, tax and business units as needed to support the corporate accounting and reporting processes.
Partner’s with the corporate technical accounting team and others to help drive accounting and reporting for complex accounting and reporting matters related to significant Company transactions (including acquisitions) and adoption of new accounting and regulatory standards.
Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end financial activities, including journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, rollforwards, trend analysis, accruals, expense allocations, reserve analysis and intercompany transactions.
Review or create periodic reporting schedules and commentary with respect to financial position and operating results analyzing variances from budget, forecast and prior periods
Partner with Tax and others to oversee legal entity accounting
Assist with the preparation of the annual budget (and/or forecasts more often) and analysis of variances.
Stay up to date on the latest accounting standards and industry best practices.
Assist, as needed, in the successful implementation of, update to, or augmentation of accounting related software including assistance in the establishment and maintenance of control procedures.
Ensure compliance with internal controls related to corporate accounting and related reporting processes.
Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate efficient audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to streamline accounting operations.
Support management in the fulfilment of ad hoc requests and special projects.
Effectively lead and mentor any direct reports and others supporting this position’s responsibilities.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Advanced PC skills using Outlook, Word, Excel (ability to perform Pivots, V-lookups, X-lookups and other functions with Excel).
Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
7+ years of progressive experience in accounting with demonstrated skills and experience in corporate accounting.
Knowledge of GAAP.
Experience leading teams.
