Job Title: Boiler Technician
Summary:
Position will be the Boiler Technician in maintaining, operating, and repairing heating and cooling systems; emergency service calls; maintaining and organizing equipment, tools, and vehicles; and the removal and installation of products. The goal of this position is to produce a qualified, competent, highly skilled boiler work. It is assumed that all successful candidates will gain the required skills and knowledge needed to be able to perform work with little supervision and aid in sales generated from field visits.
Essential Functions:
Must be willing to travel out of town and travel to jobsites of various customer facilities to provide routine and emergency services.
This will include security clearances and the ability to enter federal and state facilities.
Must be available to work weekends, overtime, and nights/odd schedules.
Must be willing and able to read and understand technical manuals, emails, quotations, and jobsite/tool warning labels.
Must be willing to advance to a Lead Boiler Technician (meaning all tests, certifications, trainings, and licensing be completed).
Must remain clean shaven and well-groomed - must be willing to shave any existing facial hair when asked per safety regulations and customer requirements.
Willing to complete M.S.H.A., O.S.H.A., and other training (paid by Yearout Mechanical).
Must be able to lift to 50 lbs., bend, crouch, walk, reach, stretch, see clearly and with colors to an acceptable standard, hear, touch, and write legibly.
Must be willing to assist in troubleshooting and making repairs on pipelines (gas, water, chemical, steam, etc..), boilers, water heaters, heaters, pumps, compressors, motors, controllers, valves, heat exchangers, etc.
Must be willing to prepare and maintain records on maintenance; oil, gas, and chemical consumption; steam and hot water production; and MUST submit paperwork, timesheets, and work orders in a timely and legible manner.
• Must comply with all employment policies: safety, drug and alcohol, and the employee handbook as well as comply with customer/job specific guidelines.
Must be able to cooperate and work with State, City, and other inspector's, jobsite foremen, and local authorities as required.
Must be able to perform other related duties as assigned in an effective and professional manner.
Requirements:
Journeyman License
Preferably Pipe-Fitter (JPF) or Gas-Fitter (JG / JPG).
Boiler Operator License (BO1/BO2)
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Valid Drivers License and clean driving record.
No Criminal Background
Proof of American Citizenship status.
Ability to pass multiple drug and background screens.
At least 2 years of Mechanical/Electrical Experience
